Too Caught Up
It’s easy to get too caught up in all we do with work, school, family, life, even ministry and church AND even with what we are called to do in your life. Being too caught up, it’s easy to forget the WHY, the WHAT, and the WHO. WHY am I doing this, WHAT am I doing this for and WHO am I doing it for.
(If you don’t know God, dont mind the verses and such. You may still need to read this.)
Proverbs 19:2 (NIV 1984)
2 It is not good to have zeal without knowledge,
nor to be hasty and miss the way.
Being too caught up in all we do it can get all mixed up and faded. Our priorities start to change and things that need to be done or that needs our attention gets pushed to the side. We could end up doing it for all the wrong reasons. Then sooner or later we start running thin and get burnt out.
Matthew 16:26 (NIV 1984)
26 What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
There is no need to be placed in that area of getting too caught up. What we gotta do is this, step back, pause and reflect. I’m not asking y’all to stop all that you do, that you’re in the wrong. What I’m saying to all of y’all including myself is to slow down and reflect. Ask God what is going down. Remember the Why, the What, and the Who. There is no need to get burnt out, to grow weary and waver in what we do. And again if you don’t know God and you read this, this can still apply to your life too. =]
Isaiah 40:31 (New King James Version)
31 But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
